Bruce Cleeland

Overview

Mr. Cleeland is the Managing Partner of Haight Brown & Bonesteel’s Orange County office. He is a member of the Product Liability, Professional Liability, Construction Law and Business Solutions Practice Groups. He has significant trial experience in State and Federal Courts having answered ready for trial on more than 240 occasions. Trials include product liability, professional liability, commercial and business disputes, construction defect and unique statutory scheme violations. Recognizing that a very small percentage of cases actually go to trial, Mr. Cleeland emphasizes problem resolution of matters throughout case handling, including pre-litigation activity.

Mr. Cleeland has prosecuted and defended claims of:

• breach of contract
• sales of businesses
• employment claims
• professional liability
• mobile home residency law claims
• personal injury
• product liability
• construction defect

Mr. Cleeland also has experience handling medical malpractice claims. He has represented cosmetic surgeons, OB-GYNs, hospitals, nursing facilities and medical product manufacturers. He has obtained defense verdicts and otherwise successfully handled numerous professional negligence matters.

Mr. Cleeland’s experience also includes representing and successfully defending contractors and various trades in construction defect litigation.
