Megan Rechberg is a member of the firm’s Product Liability and Transportation Law Practice Groups. She defends trucking and transportation clients, insurance carriers, Fortune 500 companies, retailers and business owners in personal injury and product liability matters that are often high exposure claims involving catastrophic injuries. Her prior experience included defending major home builders against construction defect claims, representing medical facilities in medical malpractice suits, and representing business owners and individuals against personal injury complaints. Before she began working in civil litigation, she was a deputy district attorney for the Orange County District Attorney’s Office where she prosecuted misdemeanor criminal matters with a 100% conviction rate.
Megan navigates through all phases of litigation within the state and federal courts throughout California. She has taken over 300 depositions including plaintiffs, treating physicians, expert witnesses and percipient witnesses. She proficiently handles law and motion, discovery, case analysis and strategy, client interaction and effectively negotiates successful resolution of complex matters.
While in law school, Megan was one of the most decorated female appellate advocates in Pepperdine’s Moot Court program. During this time, she argued matters nationally and internationally before some of the nation’s most prestigious appellate judges and international arbitrators.
Megan is actively involved in the American Paint Horse Association and Pinto Horse Association as an amateur competitor and APHA stallion manager, which has kindled her interest in exploring the niche practice of equine law.
