As we approach our 80th Act of Kindness to celebrate Haight’s 80th Anniversary, Act 79 supports the Orange County Scorpions baseball team (www.ocscorpionsbaseball.com). The OC Scorpions’ mission it to provide professional coaching to help players maximize their potential. OC Scorpions’ coaches understand how to teach kids of all ages and take the time to make sure the player grows, matures and develops. They are upbeat and positive (not too critical). They concentrate on teaching them discipline, work ethic, focus, team play, establishing goals and what it takes to accomplish those goals. Currently team ages are from 7-15, however, this summer they will be hosting tryouts to form a showcase team(s) intended for players to get exposure from college and pro scouts. Haight proudly supports the OC Scorpions during their Poker Tournament fundraiser on November 11, 2017. The event will raise funds to send the baseball team to Cooperstown in 2018.
