As Haight continues its 80 Acts of Kindness, the San Diego office held a school supplies drive for the Stuff the Bus Campaign.
Each year, thousands of homeless and at-risk children in our local communities return to school without the basic supplies they need. The San Diego office wanted to ensure that these children were given the necessary tools for a successful school year. By collaborating with generous employees of the law firms Skane Wilcox and Keeney Waite & Stevens, the San Diego office achieved its goal of filling backpacks with school supplies for elementary, middle school and high school students. The donations were delivered to San Diego County Credit Union’s (SDCCU) STUFF THE BUS CAMPAIGN in East Lake – Chula Vista.
STUFF THE BUS: Each year SDCCU partners with San Diego County Office of Education and iHeartMedia radio stations in support of Live Well San Diego to collect school supplies for students experiencing homelessness. The County Board of Supervisors launched Live Well San Diego in 2010 with the goal of achieving healthy, safe and thriving communities across the region by partnering with community and city leaders, schools, businesses, non-profit organizations and residents.
