The Litigation Labyrinth: Avoiding It, Navigating It and Successfully Emerging from It
Seminar Description
Litigation can be a messy endeavor, with many unexpected twists and turns along the way. It is impossible to predict with true certainty the path that each decision will take you down and the final outcome of each decision made along the way. Companies must balance risk and reward and make an informed decision, always keeping in mind the ultimate goal. While we may strive to avoid litigation when possible, doing so is not always in the best interests of your business. Sometimes, entering the litigation labyrinth is unavoidable – either because you need to open the door and step inside to protect the company – or because someone else drags you in.
This seminar will explore all aspects of the litigation labyrinth beginning with how businesses can avoid crossing the threshold in the first place. Because litigation is often unavoidable, panels will discuss the flexibility required to untangle the web and successfully exit litigation, including ensuring the future success of the company by enforcing favorable judgments.
Finally, the seminar explores the emergence of AI in business litigation and how to ensure our ethical responsibilities are fulfilled.
On top of the engaging presentations, ALFAI offers a number of opportunities to connect with colleagues, whether through participation in roundtable discussions, over a meal or during optional leisure activities.
