Plaintiff, a 52 year old female, engaged in an altercation with another individual in the waiting room for the Emergency Department of defendant hospital. Plaintiff suffered loss of teeth. Video footage captured the altercation with clarity. The matter was informally resolved entirely by the co-defendant security company within five months of the filing date. Ms. Haskins was able to negotiate the outcome of the entire matter without filing an Answer or engaging in formal discovery on behalf of the hospital.
